Summary

Gina Mintzer has been the Director of Sales of the Albany County Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACCVB) since 1998. As the director, she is the information resource for meeting and event planners and other community partners regarding the hospitality and tourism industry within Albany County, the Capital Region and beyond. She directs a sales and services staff of 5 working with all the Albany County hotels and the entire hospitality community to bring meeting, convention, sports and group tour business to Albany. She is involved in a variety of organizations within the industry including the Empire State Society of Association Executives (ESSAE) and National Association of Sports Commissions (NASC) as well as the Albany-Colonie Chamber of Commerce, the Arts Center of the Capital Region, Schenectady County Community College and SUNY Delhi.

Born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida, she graduated from the University of Florida in 1986. She moved to upstate New York in 1988 and worked for the Pyramid Companies marketing 6 different shopping centers throughout NY and MA before joining the ACCVB.

Gina received her Masters in Hospitality Administration (MHA) through University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in December of 2011. She lives in Albany with her son Morgan when he’s home on breaks from his life as a junior at Siena College.
