Summary

Jeff has helped Epic and clinical clients manage health care technology since 2004. A hands-on Project Manager and Scrum Master, he developed and implemented change management, data collection and transformation processes, scripted (pre-JXDUP) build routines, and managed Epic environments. He joined Kaiser-Permanente’s Cross Regional Infrastructure and Systems (CRIS) team, to manage the Caché Security layer for the enterprise. Assuming a leadership role in the organization’s HIPAA/SOX security remediation project, he helped implement the organization’s security hardening plan, and developed and documented standards for Kaiser’s Epic-focused security teams. He managed and upgraded CAPTUR, a VB6/.Net/SQL application introducing SDLC standards.
Jeff’s cooperative and directed approach helps align clinically-focused technical teams with managerial, application, and business groups. His broad knowledge of Chronicles and Epic data structures and clinical workflows, SQL and Clarity/ETL processing, and integrated ancillary devices and interfaces, often bring dynamic insight and perspective to the table, and he is often asked to address challenging technical or workflow issues. He has implemented start-up Epic Security operations and remediated existing SER and Epic Role-based security implementations. He always supports innovative and sensible practices, and he is an advocate for encouraging, facilitating, and documenting practical policy and process implementation. Jeff’s upgrade and GoLive experience has included roles in Change Management Implementation, Security Operation, Cache/Chronicles and Client-side Support, MyChart Management and General Tech Planning, and Upgrade/Roll Out Management
